He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him.

Thoughts on the Special Verse

 

I had a friend who was never helpful to anyone; he was a few years ahead of me at university. Because of his behaviour towards everyone, we accepted it as part of his character. But I still helped and cared for him in many ways.

Back then, I didn’t care about wicked people; only if it became excessive would it lead to a fight. Rest assured, after an hour, we could be eating and drinking as usual. After university, we lived on the same street, but when he left for the USA, he didn’t let me know, and I didn’t take offence.

But that man was different; he even went to a Reverend Father, who did everything possible to lure me into becoming a priest and lied about me, yet I did not confront him.

Now, after many years, I woke one morning around 5 AM, feeling as if I had been attacked. Still in bed, I reflected on everything this man had done and realised that I had condoned nothing but outright wickedness. I was so furious that I demanded to see the Almighty God, because I did not want him to go unpunished this time.

At around 7 AM, the Almighty God arrived, and I reported to Him what the man had done to me, as if I had stored all his wickedness in a computer. After recounting everything the man had done, I told the Lord what I desired.

I told God, “Because the guy did this to me, I want You to do this… to him.’ “Because the guy did that to me, I want You to do this… to him.’ “Because the guy did this to me, do this… to him.’ “Do this… to him.’ “Do this and that… to him.’

As I spoke to the Lord, I realised I had been the one talking; He had only been looking at me and listening. Then, to show He knew what I was thinking, He said to me, “All you said I will do,” and repeated it, “All you said I will do.”

My Prayer…

Cover me with Your loving arms and be my shield as I face each day. May Your angels encamp around me and keep me safe from all danger.

I also ask for Your abundant blessings to rain down upon my life. Bless me with good health, peace, joy, and prosperity in all aspects. May Your grace order my steps, and may my endeavours be fruitful for Your glory.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer and for being my faithful protector and provider. I trust in Your unfailing love and know that, with You by my side, I am safe and blessed beyond measure. I pray in Your holy and precious name. Amen.

Surround me with Your sheltering presence, drive away fear and every shadow that threatens my peace, and uphold me with Your strong hand. Grant me the courage to stand firm, the wisdom to discern the path of safety, and the hope that rests confidently in Your unfailing love.

Bind me to Your Spirit, renew my heart with peace, and lead me from danger into the light of Your care. I place my life in Your mighty keeping, trusting in Your mercy and power. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
