7 Steps to a Quiet Time with God Made Simple

When you enter the presence of God, for the 7 steps to a quiet time to partake of the banquet at His table in your closet at the time you have chosen, you may begin in this manner:

7 Steps to a Quiet Time

Begin by saying: Good morning or afternoon, Father. Thank you for bringing me into your presence at Mount Zion, to the ark, this evening. Father, I am now ready to feast at your table. Holy Spirit, nourish me with the finest wheat, the best meat, and the finest wine.

Father, also offer me the bread of your presence and the water of life of Christ to drink (after a meal, one drinks water), so that I may hunger and thirst no more, and hear your voice audibly, in dreams, visions, revelation, or in any other way according to your will.

Then begin studying the Bible or the spiritual book for your growth, personal development, and character transformation. These are the finest spiritual resources for maintaining the 7 steps to a quiet time with God.

When you finish that day’s covenant time with the Lord, close the Bible or the Christian spiritual book you are using. Mark your place so you can resume from there the next day. Then thank the Holy Spirit by saying: Thank you, Father, for granting me the power and authority to trample on serpents and scorpions. Furthermore, I have strength against the enemy, and nothing shall harm me in Jesus’ Name.

Thank you, Father, for filling me with the Spirit, wisdom, understanding, knowledge, an excellent Spirit, and a sound mind. I seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness in all I do, at all times. Therefore, add to me all other things in Jesus’ Name. Then you will get up.

7 steps to a quiet time and a great testimony.

Remember, you have only thanked Him. Quiet time is not prayer. You may pray if you haven’t done so before; otherwise, pray whenever you wish. Jesus began and ended with prayer. However, we are discussing how to maintain quiet time with God, not how to pray.

Some years ago, I prayed from 12 midnight to 01:00, and I set aside an hour of quiet time at 01:02:00 daily. The quiet time was practically kept exactly as illustrated above, and I carried it on for many years, as faithfully as anyone with faith as little as a mustard seed could walk on the sea.

Then one night, as I began that day’s quiet time at 01:00, the Holy Spirit took me over, and I fell into a trance. He took me on what I call a journey. The Holy Spirit told and showed me how I was born, what happened at my birth, my life history from childhood to adulthood, and even every concern regarding my marriage, which was toxic then.

He also told me who was behind the cause of all my troubles, but even though I pressed Him to explain how the person was causing them, He did not. That day and that quiet time remain special in my heart; I will not forget them till eternity. Even the realisation that I had been in a trance, because I woke up at exactly 02:00, was an epic experience.

7 Steps to a Quiet Time

The very first thought that entered my mind as I came to myself was to understand how Moses was able to write the book of Genesis, which contains events that occurred before creation and even before he himself was created. That’s the work of the Holy Spirit. Yes, the Holy Spirit in action. All Glory, Honour, Adoration and Praise to Him from Everlasting to Everlasting. Amen
